The beer weekend took place at various venues across Exeter over the bank holiday weekend, 3-5 May 2019. The weekend was organised by a committee made of local businesses in the industry and local writer, Adrian Tierney-Jones. The 2019 event was kindly sponsored by Powederkeg Brewery.
This is what Adrian had to say about the event,
We want people, whatever beer the choose to drink to visit pubs and bars; we want them to realise the special place they have in our lives and we want them to know that the city itself has three breweries, with many more, both established and new kids on the block, here and beyond the city limits. This is what our Beer Weekend is all about.
Exeter Beer Weekend 2019 included several venues, offering great local beer, special brews, unique events and more. The venues taking part were;
The weekend was packed full of events including open brew days at Topsham Brewery, tap takeovers, beer quizes and bottle exchanges.
