About Purity Brewing Co

Purity is an apt name for one of the Midlands’ most popular breweries, given its commitment to supporting the environment and creating a sustainable business model. The brewing process only uses natural ingredients, recycling programmes are supported, while its waste products are recycled through a pond and wetland system, which helps to minimise carbon dioxide emissions and encourage wildlife diversity.

The brewery was set up in 2005 by Paul Halsey and James Minkin and the following year Frenchman Flo Vialan joined as head brewer, helping to create and maintain award-winning beers such as Pure UBU (named after a dog that once lived on the farm the brewery is based), Pure Gold and Longhorn IPA. Seven regular beers are produced in both cask and keg form, while limited edition releases include Session IPA and Pure Helles, which is brewed in collaboration with Bavarian brewery Bayreuther Brauhaus.

To get right into the heart of Purity, there are regular Saturday afternoon tours of the brewery where visitors can see the gleaming stainless steel vessels and hear about the brewing process, followed by that all important tasting in a cosy tap room. The brewery is also located in beautiful Warwickshire countryside so that’s an extra bonus. And if you cannot wait until the weekend, there is an onsite shop where Purity’s beers can be bought.
