Lincoln Green started brewing in the town of Hucknall in 2012, with the name coming from the colour of dyed woollen clothes worn by Robin Hood, ‘and like Robin Hood we believe in putting people at the heart of everything we do. Furthermore, by knowing that every sip and visit is important our multi-award winning ales and pubs are becoming legends in their own right’. You might want to try a pint of the 4% US pale Archer, which is packed with Chinook and Citra varieties; or how about the 4.7% porter Tuck?
The brewery also owns five pubs in and around Hucknall, as well as in Nottingham, where the Sir John Borlase Warren pub has one of the best beer gardens in the city. ‘Lincoln Green pubs are timeless spaces that are at the heart of the neighbourhood they serve. They look to reflect the modern day values of George Orwell’s The Moon Under Water essay from the Evening Standard in which he described his vision of the perfect pub.’
With people remaining at the heart of Lincoln Green’s approach, the company also helps local communities with weekly meat raffles that raise money for local causes, cider pressings that increase awareness of post-traumatic stress syndrome and Combat Stress, and beer festivals that raise much needed funds for Air Ambulance and CLIC Sargent.
