About Dhillon's

Coventry is home for Dhillon’s who started brewing in 2015. ‘Our mission is to put the Midlands on the brewery map one beer at a time,’ says founder Dal Dhillon. ‘We aim to brew beer that we enjoy and we hope to make the beer-lover as passionate about beer as we are. We are striving to make a brand and brew beer that all people can enjoy.’

The brewery also has a lively tap-room, a warehouse-style space with murals on the wall — it is usually open every Friday evening, but due to its closeness to the Ricoh stadium, pints will also be pulled during Coventry FC and Wasps match-days. Or as Dhillon says, ‘we have a tipplers’ fortress where our range of ales get the sip of approval from our eager guinea pigs who are more than happy to put themselves forward’.

The tipplers’ fortress, or tap-room, is the place where Dhillon’s beers, both on cask and in bottle, can be sampled and evaluated, while their beers are also widely available in the free trade in Coventry and further afield. It does seem as if the brewery’s approach to making beer that they and others enjoy seems to work, as plenty of awards have come Dhillon’s way including a SIBA National Bronze medal for Red Rebel IPA and, more recently, a Gold from the World Beer Awards for the speciality steam lager, The Alegre.
